Quite often when I am surfing the MacNN forum, it seems at times the return pages no longer states I am logged on (with an empty username and password field), and this kind of behaviour seems to be random: sometimes it happens 15 minutes after logged on, sometimes just one minute after logged on (with only 2-3 pages been surfed).

Is this an auto-logout feature, or is it a bug?

Are you using Netscape 4.x? I've had similar problems, but they're not random like you describe. Whenever I log in using that browser (4.78 to be precise), I get logged out as soon as I move to another page. This means I have to use another browser to post anything - not really a problem, but Communicator 4.78 is still my browser of choice.

It's a bug, unless they've documented it. Then it would be a feature.

No. I use Mozilla 1.2.1 at home, and IE5 for WinNT at work. So I don't think it's a browser related problem!

I don't think it's a feature...
