AppleInsider is using vBulletin now, and they seem to have dynamic post links for the last post in a forum, and it seems to work. So apparently it's possible, although I have no idea how hard it is to do. Are there any plans to get this working for MacNN?

They have the links working, but the problem is getting the thread title to show up. We had the links before, but it looked more cluttered and people thought that unless we could get the thread title as well, it didn't make sense. After all, would you rather just click on a link to go to the latest unknown thread or click on the forum title to see all the threads that have been posted?

It's easy enough to have that link working, so if people really want it, we could put it in. The title won't come through, though. Unfortunate.

I spoke to Jelsoft, and the title stuff will be supported in vBulletin 3. I think it's better to just wait a bit until we upgrade a few months down the line.
