I can understand limiting the number of posts for a certain amount of time, since it stops people from flooding the forums with crap, but why why why can't I do more than one search in a 30 second period? If my search doesn't find what I want the first time, I'm sitting here waiting before I can redo it. Does this solve a real problem (like the post time limit) or is it just an annoyance?

I think it's because a search places a heavy load on the server. I've run into this problem myself
