Does anyone think there should be a rumours forum? For example there is some discussion around about Apple bringing out some sort of tablet device. This doesn't seem to fit into any of the existing fora.
Just a thought :-)

actually, I agree, I would like a rumors forum as it seems that the lounge is a place for "off topic" threads. Apple rumors aren't off topic IMO.

Yes I have always thought of the lounge as the
`life beyond Apple' forum. I have never thought to look there for discussions of rumours.

It might also keep the rumors out of the Powerbook and Powermac forums, which would probably be a good thing. I wouldn't mind a rumors forum.

perfect example for the need of a rumors forum:
there's a rumor topic in Peripherals
...and another one in the Lounge

What I like about MacNN is the 'NN' part... real 'News', even in the forums.
There are a plethora of rumour sites out there... Appleinsider, macosrumours, osrumors, macrumours, spymac etc etc
Rumour posts are prevalent in every forum anyway, and the balance of fact/fiction, to me, is just about right at the moment.
Can't we keep MacNN free of the rumour scourge?
Also legally I think it is unwise for any site to get involved in rumours. What if the next Workerbee decides to come calling? Do the staff really want to be fending off the 'Fedayeen Steve' and the C&D letters?!
I vote no(!) to a rumours forum!
