time stamps incorrect?

I'm joining this forum from Singapore. During signup I adjusted the time zone to Singapore from the drop down menue. Weird enough, my time stamps for posts are 1 hour ahead of actual time around here. Could that have something to do with the Europeans switching summer time and winter time, as the basis for calculation is GMT?
