The search function won't let you do searches for words that are two characters? Isn't that silly considering words like G4, CD, and IP (address) are crucial to finding the right threads about a topic we might be looking for?

Can you turn that 3+ requirement off?

no, we can't.

if we did, we would need to index the entire forums over again using 1 or 2 characters as the minimum. this would create an obscenely huge search database, and likely cause the forums to be unusable for 1-2 days.

so, until we get new hardware, 3 will have to do. sorry.
