Actually the Lounge wouldn't be the same without your posts.

I dunno. We used to do archives back when we were on UBB because the forums used to explode when a single forum got too huge...things would start corrupting and whatnot. Now all the posts for the entire BB are in one SQL table so it doesn't really matter which forum the posts are in.
I was actually considering the opposite: getting rid of the Archives section and merging those two back into the current forums. Thoughts?

As long as search times aren't impacted, it sounds good to me.
Plus, then we can resurrect really old threads!

Well sure - but does anyone miss being able to post in an archived thread?
I don't.

If it's not a bother, why not?

I don't.
It's not to let people post in those threads. It's just to simplify the forum layout. This way we get rid of the whole Our Archives section. We have a lot of forums and anything seemingly unnecessary might as well go.
Good point about the search times though. I doubt it would make a difference (since again, all the posts for all the forums are in one table anyway), but I'll check that.
