Is there any chance of making the log in box as long as the word 'unregistered' ?

Its a rather odd practice that quite a number of sites on the web have way too small log in boxes and similiar 'type in' boxes.

Its kind of weird (not macnn of course) that web designers continue with this idiotic design practice, don't you think ?

What web browser are you using? I don't see the problem you are referring to.

Ditto. Plus, once you are logged in...you are logged in...why the necessary change for the word "Unregistered"?

To each their own I suppose...

I predominately use both Safari and Firefox and have the occassion of using internet explorer when I have to. All three browsers on my 17 inch screen when showing the login box with 'unregiste' I know its only two clicks but it just infuriates me when I frequently have to log in to Macnn and a number of other forum sites et al. that have this weird design anonomoly where the type in boxes are way to short. More so curious as to why this particular design feature on a large number of log in sites, occurs largely unchecked uncriticised.

Newspapers online are notorious for this feature especially when referring a friend whose email addresses are 3 or 4 times longer then the space provded to type them in, how are you supposed to to check what you've typed is correct.

I find it rather annoying that your macnn 'type in login boxes' are so short in length, I've noticed a rather large number of your registered users have long names it must piss them off sometimes when they have to type in their user names and can't see the full length of what they have typed in.
