The MacNN forums are split up into many different sections (PowerMac,Powerbook,OSX,audio,video,Lounge etc. etc.), which is a good thing of course, because it allows people to go to the topic that interests them directly.

Usually when I visit here, I find myself visiting 4 or 5 of the forums which interests me, which means a lot of jumping around from place to place.

There is a feature Ive seen on a few other Forums which would be really cool if it could be implemented here. It would only be an option, so if somebody doesnt want to use this feature, they dont have to.

A button on the top of each page, which when clicked would display LAST 25, or LAST 50 posts from Every Single forum. Instead of jumping around from Forum to Forum, and then replying to a post ,and then Jumping back and forth again, one could simply click LAST 25-50 Posts to see all of the activity going on in every Forum, which would take somebody directly to the post they wanted to read. This would also increase participation in some forums-topics where people might never ever venture into.

Good Idea ? Yes, No ?

Having the last 25-50 threads from EVERY forum would end up being too much data to be useful (several hundred threads), but you can use the View Latest Posts feature. The link to it is available at the top of the main forums index, and it is similar to what you're looking for.
