search problem

Hi: I'm new to these forums and I'm not having any luck using your search function. Each time I get an error message such as:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 16777216 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 129 bytes) in /var/www/macnn/macnn/forums/search.php on line 396

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 16777216 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 32 bytes) in /var/www/macnn/macnn/forums/admin/functions.php on line 2495


This one came in response to a search regarding "network time server". I gather I am somehow exceeding some memory allocation, so I tried to restrict the size of the response by searching "network AND time AND server" and only to the past weeks posts. Still get the error message around memory size.

Any suggestions?

iMac 400, OSX 10.2.8, Safari 1.0

Yeah, if you could search, you could find a number of threads about this "feature"...

I gather my experience is not unique ...

it would be nice to search, though. I don't have the free time to browse the entire site, so any tips appreciated ...
