Ok, the database has gone completely wonk. Just look at the replies column in any of the forums...

Threads not bumping, no new replies... what's wrong with the NN?

New posts in the forums all show 0 reply in the forum view, even if there are multiple replies.

Also, it is showing no new posts on any forum since last login... there's only over 300 users in the forum at the moment... gone flaky under such "light" load??

Anyone in command have an idea when normal service can be resumed, or even what is wrong?

Post counts seem a little screwy too. Taking a minimum of two attempts to submit any replies.

Cool, thanks for the info Tooki!

The downage had done one good thing... it has also had the added benefit of saving the boards from my 3k post thread!

From what I hear, one of the drives on the DB got server filled up. mySQL went nuts and caused some DB corruption. They did some other stuff on it, but obviously it hadn't fixed everything. When I saw that the forums were severely misbehaving, I took them down, just in case continued use would cause more damage. Monish repaired the databases (on the command-line side), and then I ran vB's re-count scripts to repair thread post counts, user post counts, and forum thread counts.
