It seems that all he does is enforce the outdated STUPID rule of 'not posting things wider than 640 pixels'. This is DUMB. Most people have big screens, and honestly, I think you guys would get more pissed about inline images (more bandwidth) than something like 700 pixels wide.

It's 480 pixels, not 640.

Also, people may have big screens, but that doesn't mean everyone will have their browser windows cover the entire screen. Mine is about 667 pixels wide right now, and I like it that way.

Ticking sound coming from a .pkg package? Don't let the .bom go off! Inspect it first with Pacifist. Macworld - five mice!

Oh, and for the people that will inevitably try to tell me how I am supposed to use my web browser, I have this little inline image for you:

Please change this horrible (supposed to be) German to something like:
"Maul halten!! Dazu bitte die obere und untere Lippe zusammenführen bis sie sich berühren und diese Position halten!"

Yeah, I hate having my browser take up all 3200 pixels of horizontal screen real estate...

OK, are we trying to please all the people on the Internet, are we just trying to please you, Mr. ChalreS

I think a limit on image sizes is just plain stupid. But hey, it's not my board now is it

some of us don't like having to scroll horizontally because some idiot decided to post huge pictures of his cat or whatever.

Is there a limit on "people who complain about the pixel limit"?

I'm a bird. I am the 1% (of pets).

That's right. This isn't Windows, where 90% of users run their Internet Explorer maximized.

The maximum width rules are in place to prevent horizontal scrolling, which absolutely decimates readability.

The "[picture thread]" titles are there for warning people about image-heavy threads.
