If there's a Non-JPG-Orgy thread where most of the new posts are violating the Inline Image rules, as a moderator, would it not be easier to change the title by adding "[JPG-Orgy]" instead of attempting to edit every one of those posts and ultimately closing the thread because too many of said posts? (See example.)

I've seen this done at least once (a mod adding "[JPG-Orgy]" to a thread title after it was clear it had become one). Perhaps all mods should do this. We know it'd be easier on the moderators if everyone followed the rules, but that's not going to happen. In trying to correct the issue, however, they should not give themselves extra work.

I think the moderators (especially tooki) enjoy the extra work...not only do they edit each offending post, but some decide it's fun to SPAM your PM box/e-mail about each individual mistake as well...

For the record, gorickey considers the ONE "inline image" message that he has ever been sent to be spamming. It is not the case that he has received multiple messages.

As for threads that have become picture threads: until a thread is labeled as such, any excessively large images are violations. Anyone who sees a thread that they believe should be relabeled as a picture thread can send a message to an admin or moderator, asking it to be changed.
