Recently I changed my email address to receive notification email responses to my posts, but have yet to receive one email after posting.
Yes I always tick the box 'Email Notification', I used to receive these notifications at
pcd2k@applelinks.net but since I recently had to forgo the luxury of a ADSL connection and return to 56k modem, I decided to change me email notification to
pcd2k@rediffmail.com.
The page download time between the two web based email clients on 56k is that I often make another coffee waiting for the applelinks site to finish drawing its page even with Firefox which I now predominantly use, whereas rediffmail takes less than a second to load.
Its rather strange that I have a free 1 Gig account at rediffmail and it has nearly all of the bells and whistles that applelinks does, and then on the other hand applelinks is a free 3 meg account and has an over the top amount of bells and whistles
I don't necessarily need the notifications to my topic starts but they are a must have if and when I post to other threads.
But since I always tick the boxes for the notifications, how come I haven't received one since changing my email preferences ?
