Is something besides moving going to be done with these threads this week?
It is going to be a problem and if that is the level of action taken against those people who do it then why have a Pol Lounge at all? Even locking them is going to leave them sitting in the lounge and do little to discourage those same people from starting a new one.

I say it needs to go further. If we elimate the PL, all that stuff will just spill over into the lounge. Perhaps MacNN should ban all political topics; I've seen other forums do this and I think it would be a good idea.

Not that I disagree at all; however, how can you totally block a topic from being posted?

Just curious.

They'd have to be locked as soon as they appeared until everyone got the message. It'll take a while but it will work.

I might have a compromise that would make almost everyone happy.

If you don't want to discuss or read about politics...

D o n ' t g o i n t o t h e P o l i t i c a l L o u n g e .

I realize this is a radical approach, but desperate times call for not clicking on the friggin' link.

"'Jelly Hat' sounds silly," I told Prince. "How about something poetic, like 'Raspberry Beret.'"

The problem is bluesky, the hostilities people gather from the PL a lot of the times spill over into other parts of the forum.

I'm lucky; Zimphire and I have had our disagreements but we leave them in the PL.
