I don't get it - if some newbie were to post a software thread in the OS X forum they get they're head bitten off - but certain people who've been here ages (and should know better) just post whatever they like in the Lounge and nothing gets locked.

I was under the impression that software discussions go in the s/w thread and the lounge is for non-mac related discussions or stuff that doesn't fit into the other forums.

Am I wrong?

sorta makes sense, but with something like bittorrent, i didn't even think twice. It just seems more like a lounge topic than software, and almost that the people in the lounge would be more apt to deal with it that those dealing with everyday software. maybe the mod's just made a judgement call (and left it, as I would have?). I dunno, that's just me.
