SO I noticed when you hit 1000 (I think), you become "Addicted to MacNN" and when you hit 10,000 (again, I think), you become "Clinically Insane", but I noticed we have a lot of members in between that number, don't you think there should maybe be something at 2500, 5000, and 7500?

I'm thinking a package:

At 5000 posts, MacNN automatically bans your account, informs your employer, and offers a free three-session trial therapy.

At 10 000, it's a frontal lobotomy and Republican membership.

In my opinion everyone of us should be classed as "common vermin" utill we reach 25,000 posts, where we become upgraded to "energy emiting unit 0001".

5000 posts is a sign of a social disorder, isn't it? Maybe MacNN should automatically call us a therapist.

We have a feedback forum for a reason. (I don't understand why people think of the lounge as a catch-all for everything; it's the catch-all for all the things we don't have a special forum for!)

Anyhow, we'll be revising the user levels when we upgrade the forum software.

I didn't think that anyone would take this as a serious request to revise the user levels. Ah well, we'll get it with the new forum software, sometime in 2075...

Um.

Thanks for the info on upgrading the software, but did you really have to ruin a perfectly good Lounge thread simply by reading it with a brick up your ass?

No offense, naturally, but the tone here was all but serious...

When you reach 5000 posts, it occurs to you that you’re spending far to much time socializing with a bunch of random internet dorks, and far to little time socializing with real live people.

It only takes like 1 minute of my day, tops, to post fifty or so times, so I don't know what you're talking about. </Zimph>

I was first making note of the fact that this was posted in the Lounge rather than the correct location.

How difficult is it for you to grasp that my responses to a question and my responses to administrative issues (like misplaced threads) are two completely separate things?

1stly, this thread is indirectly about anyone exceeding 4999 posts.
(The ThinkInsane post doubly alluded -- whether intentional or not -- to defensiveness in your posting history.)

2ndly, you love to throw "fanboy" around, but you yourself would call this "projecting." Now tell me, how do you really feel? What is a "fanboy" to you?

And you for some reason decided not to only mention me, but attempt to make fun of me.

That is a typical fanboy action.

(The ThinkInsane post doubly alluded -- whether intentional or not -- to defensiveness in your posting history.)
It did? Really? Did he tell you that?

Point is, he never mentioned me, and it about anyone that has said posts. That is why Think never gets labeled a fanboy.

No, I wouldn't call it projecting. If you act like a fanboy.....

I've given many explanations and examples of what makes up a fanboy on MANY occasions.

It's VERY easy to go by in this forum and not be called a fanboy.

Fanboys usually don't get it though.

BTW I wouldn't have 3/4 of the posts I do if it weren't for the fanboys out there.
