Dear MacNN,
I would love to have a forum section aimed to the hispano / spaniard community out there, both living in the States plus Latino America and even Spain. Why does Spain matter?, I am up to hears of read the same stuff I read here just translated and with no even letting people to know 'hey, I read it first on macnn but I am going to avoid tht point so I can name myself kinda a guru...', every spanish forum/board is doing the same thing. I know about people that avoid those boards just because the hipocrit attitude of the people there, they use to tell me, "please ask this on macnn" and so, "if only the macnn guys have a spaniard/hispano section..."
I am sure the whole spanish community is going to love the idea, and even the guys in Spain. Please let me know you are going to consider this idea

Surely there must be some Spaniards or Hispanics willing to start up their own Spanish Mac news site. There's no reason they couldn't compile and translate news from a variety of sources just like MacNN does.
It would end up being a lot more better and genuine if the whole thing was Spanish, than if an English site like MacNN just tacked on a Spanish forum.

We don't have the moderation resources to do Spanish. I won't say it'll never happen, but considering how thin we're stretched as it is, I don't see it happening anytime soon.

So how about a German section then? There are quite a few German-speaking members here? Not a good idea?
Seriously, I don't think it would be too popular (not because we don't like Spanish, but simply because many people who know the Mac don't speak Spanish (yet)). The common denominator in most cases is English, and MacNN's primary focus is international.
In opposite case (a local forum wants to become more international) I would support it, e. g. Aqua Computer Forum.

Same here. It does sound like an interesting idea though, so I'd be willing to donate some of my free time to such a cause.
