From today, I've been seeing the following coming up in the downloads window of Safari:

Since this screenie was taken, they've filled my downloads window.

It's one of the most annoying things I've seen in years.
Ads?
If it doesn't scare hippies, it's not worth listening to

A couple of hours (and a film) later, I can't replicate it. I've changed nothing, BTW. I run without ad blocking like PithHelmet.

IIRC, when it happened there wasn't an ad showing at the top at all. The "downloads" never got past the preparation stage, so nothing in the downloads folder to show for it either.

If it helps any, it's not:

Expedia
EazyDraw
Liquid Ledger
CheapTickets
Slick
Web Design

---
Is this likely to be a wayward ad or could it be some kind of attempt to install a trojan by someone hacking the ad server? (I'm behind a serious firewall which shows no sign of any unusual hack attempts in the log).

---
I'l bump the thread if I see it happening again (and attempt to take details this time!).

It was doing that to me earlier today, also. Now, it's not. Strange...

If it happens again, I'll see what ad is at the top and post in here.

Ticking sound coming from a .pkg package? Don't let the .bom go off! Inspect it first with Pacifist. Macworld - five mice!
