Not that I'm aware of, and would that actually be good? Why not a link instead?

no quicktime, no flash, no midi files playing automatically when you load a page, driving your coworkers crazy until they smash your speakers to bits with their size 12 loafer.

so no.

It's more convenient to have it inline. Also nice to have as signature.

You don't have to open another windows. And you can have more than one multi-media thingy embedded inline in a longer text.

If you have one of those QuickTime 3D panoramas that can be scrolled around as signature, that's "non-animated" but still requires QuickTime. Your sig could also be an interactive Flash animation.

I've seen web boards that allow animated sigs and they are nasty.

Indeed. Not a snowball's chance in hell. Not here. Certainly not in a signature. And for everything else, a link is adequate, and won't annoy people who don't want media loading automatically.

Would be a challenge. But mainly I have been asking for regular posts. It's really sad, that you can not post anything interactive.

Post a link. People click on the link if they so choose. Sounds interactive to me.
