That's gotta be a problem with your browser, because it certainly works for me in every browser I've tried. Try fulmer's suggestions, they are sensible and will likely solve the problem.

thakns fulmer and tooki
but itdid not work. my mozilla is the same Id been using with the previous NN, and I deleted that password after it didn't work any more and cookies seem ok and deleted all cookies.
I have the box remember checked, but whats interesting is that when I type in the password etc mozilla's box that asks me to remember the password does not come up.
anyother thoughts?

I'd make sure that mozilla has completely erased all cookies that deal with MacNN, and also to empty your browsing cache.
You might also check your security settings and make sure it currently is allowing password reminder to load, or that it is allowing you to remember/use saved passwords. Most the time it is an issue with the cookie itself.
I'd also note that tooki, you should take a look in the Admin CP and make sure the MacNN cookie information under the vBulletin Options category are set probably, I've had many problems on my own forum that stemmed from this information changing after upgrading to vB3.

thanks ehjay
I thinks Ive done this: under password manager there is no password set for MacNN, I have erased all cookies and emptied the browsing chache.
I don't see a place in the security settings that turns on or off the saved password feature, these have automatically come up in the past when I type one in.
if there is a place in mozzilla for turning on/off or preventing the password manager to laod, do you know where it is?
Im accepting the cookies for the current session only, but ive always done that for years and MacNN and other work fine. ( in the past)
but yo0u are correct that there is no password stored in the stored password sectioin on security for MacNN now.
let me know if you have any more ideas.
thanks rotuts

1. Go to: "Preferences" > "Privacy" > "Cookies" > "Exceptions"
2. In the text field, type "forums.macnn.com" and click "Allow"
3. In the same text field, type "vb30.macnn.com" and click "Allow" again
I had the same problem because I only allow session cookies (which is a good thing to do) but the MacNN folks have added that new server (-name) "vb30.macnn.com" and Firefox wouldn't remember the cookies set from that server since it wasn't in my "allowed" list.
That should do it.
