A Banned Lounge should be created for people who are have been banned from the lounge, and also people with a high postcount (say 1000) should be allowed to post in it as well. Everyone else can only view but not post.

Can you explain to me why posters who have restrictions (banning) imposed on them because they've not obeyed the rules should be given an exclusive forum where they can post and those who've obeyed the rules can't?

Think of it as a jail, Vinster. In jail, people who have not obeyed the rules of society are locked away. Normal, law-abiding people are not allowed into the jail because they don't belong there. Of course, to maintain order, qualified people are brought in to maintain order and keep things going.

The Banned Forum would be like a prison, or a rehab center, where delinquent MacNNers go to pay their debt to the internet. And qualified people (those with high post counts) are allowed in to keep the forum interesting.

Kerrigan, this isn't real life. It's an Internet forum.

In real life, people go to jail because it's a way to keep them away from the society at large.

In an Internet forum, if registered users can't obey the rules they aren't allowed to participate.

Call it.... the.....Pergatory Forum for those in limbo... asking for forgiveness from the Almighty Demonhood Ruller of the Lounge Realms.

Hey, if they do it, I'd want to be a Moderator, as I suggested it and would be responsible for it's creat..... oh never mind...

And as an added bonus, advertisers would love displaying their banner along with thread after thread of Rob and Kevin's inflamatory nonsense.

I always wished b.net would let me talk to other people in The Void. Can you be banned from the banned lounge or is it anything goes?

How about banned people start and finance their own forum?

Yeah, um, no.

This forum isn't like the world. Think of it instead as a bar: it's a quasi-public, but decidedly privately-owned, place. At a bar, if you don't behave, they kick you out. This is the same.

I dont know I think there is some merit to a banned lounge. All mods and those banned are the only ones that can see it. It allows them to argue there case why they shouldnt be banned and bicker about it with out distruption the other forums. Like what Zimph had to say but in the comments forums. Hidden to not affect other posters and new members.
Brian says (9:16 AM): I was looking at houses in Ottawa... I actually have a temptation in me to move
Jeff ******* says (9:19 AM): Eww, Ottawa is gross. It's infested with politicians, and presently, 1 Harper as well.

I'm glad you picked up my suggestion. I'm sure I would have been banned for this

So is being banned now a sign of quality and merit?
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.

Hardly.

Again, you can all stop wasting your breath: there's not the slightest glimmer of a chance of anything remotely like this happening.

Like any mods would bother going in there even if there were one.

Seriously, though, where is the merit in the admins catering to the very people they want to get rid of?

No. Since there is no inherent logic, it's mere (bad) luck.

I support a lounge for Banned people. As long as the room doesn't have Internet access.
