Getting "unusual" error messages - not the usual database errors, but:

New server problem? Hamster on strike for better working hours?
Been inclined to wander... off the beaten track.
That's where there's thunder... and the wind shouts back.

Mine are similar - something with "-1005, lost network connection" - happens in Safari only. IIRC Tooki had mentioned in another thread that the cause of this might be some malformed code delivered by one of the (external/non-macnn) ad servers and that this causes Safari to go bunkers.

If that is the case, it makes you wonder how these ad providers can stay in business if they can't even serve up valid source code.

I say shoot the damn hamster.

Error 400 (error from server) is the oddball server we use for images/ads.

The lost network connection error (error from browser) is when the server has stopped responding mid-request. It'll typically then be followed by database errors -- the root cause of seemingly all our problems. (I've bitched to management about this many, many, many, many times...)

The hamsters must be engaging in a work slowdown for better working conditions. You know, larger habitats, padded wheels, more water bottles, etc.

Supposedly, they tried to get the Hampsterdance Union in on the work slowdown, but they have profit-sharing and cable TV in their habitats and are quite happy. We're just lucky that none of our hamsters want to work there, because they'd have to tolerate extra "p"....
