Can we get a mod in the lounge? I don't know what happened, but someone's gone are started bringing back dead threads and posting to themselves over multiple profiles.

I don't keep up w/lounge personality issues much, but how is it people can be so sure some misbehavior that sounds like "ca$h" is the same person? Or do mods look at logs of a person's IP?

Probably because he doesn't want to see that kind of thing happen here. He probably thought the guy crossed a line of the kind of behavior he'd like to see around here.
I often report that kind of abuse. It's sickening to see someone insult another person's race or family and see it go uncontested.
I didn't report Rob simply because we should have mods actually reading the threads and doing their jobs. Unfortunately we are seriously lacking for mods around here. Rob has a history of attacking my children and has never apologized. I do not understand why he isn't banned whenever he makes a new username.

Yup, and yup. In the lounge I report spam, things way out of line, in the war room I dont bother unless it is really out of line and what he said about your kids was way way way out of line. I couldn't believe it took another full day to ban him.

Let's just hope our resident neighborhood watch won't mess up the signal-to-noise ration in our mod's inboxes.
And before someone throws a hissy-fit, yes, I have reported inappropriate posts before. Aside from spam, I'll generally report anything that looks nice on your average porn site (and I mean pr0n, not wardrobe malfunctions) or on rotten.com, and thus doesn't really work all that well in the Lounge.
Even considering ca$h's and Kilbey's past interactions, I hardly think that "demon children" is report-worthy (and no, he didn't say "fscking demon children", I checked). Is it a dumb thing to say? Yup. Somehow though, methinks that only Kilbey can determine whether or not that's a report-worthy offense. But then again - that's just my $.02 and nobody needs to agree with me.
Now on to more important questions - who wants to be the "Blockwart" for the next shift (4 weeks)?

You don't think insulting a person's children is report worthy? I would think anyone can make any determination about whether they consider it report worthy or not on their own. If someone doesn't want to see it on there and they think it crosses a line then more power to them if they decide to report it.
The mods need to be a bit more mod-like in their actions. Seems anything goes now a days. Unless it's a image violation and then they get dealt with swiftly and appropriately. But swearing, racist comments, direct insults, and namecalling are all allowed lately.

If I didn't make so many enemy's and had acted more like um a adult I would be more then happy to moderate the lounge at night, im here 5 nights a week and almost the entire night as work is usually slow. But I acted like fool a few times to many lol I would personally like to see the place do well. I spend more time here then any other forum.

The only thing I said is that personally, I don't consider the expression "demon children" to be an insult. If that is insulting to you then you do of course have every right to make your voice heard. I never said anything else.
Please do me a favor - don't go around projecting your indigantion over rob's behavior on me - I support neither his position nor yours (or Athen's, for that matter).
P.S. If you're so hung up no that new name of yours, I will be happy to call you railroader. It might take me a little bit of time (old dogs and new tricks, you know) but eventually, I'll get there.

By and large, I'd say his behavior is fairly easy to recognize... not something I could really describe or explain, but there ya go. That plus if the SN disses SUVs or ends in the number 68. (I think its 68... not entirely sure) Also if it pops up recently after one of his other ones is banned, all those factors kind of add up to a fiarly decent chance of it being him.
That and, as someone said eariler, he often reveals himself.
effgee--I think that the said infraction ("demon children") is in some regards cumulative. IIRC, he had in the past attacked Railroader's family, and taken it much too far. Kind of a reputation thing here, I guess. Not entirely fair, I suppose, if we are to consider the initial infraction "paid for" in a previous banination or what-have-you, but whatever....
Getting back on topic--There is someone bringing back zombie threads, but I would say to jump the gun and accuse Ca$h probably isn't necessary. AFAIK, recussitating zombie threads is not part of his MO.

imo the main reason to refer to people by their newest SN is to not confuse the noobs... when I first came here (damn that feels like so long ago--"yay, 100 posts!!") lol, it took me a while to figure out who was who when they'd talk about this Ca$h person or Rob. I only knew about the SN he had at that time--suvsr4terrorists.

Understood and agreed that Rob, on many occasions in the past, has acted like a real ... well, you know what I mean.
That does however, not mean that it's ok (imho) that he should be banned for each and every stupid remark he makes. If his previous behavior warrants a permanent ban then the mods should make sure that it is enforced - permanently. Especially in light of the name-calling that's been going on in the Lounge recently, this particular infraction of Rob's seems rather benign.
As Railroader (I remembered, yay!) mentioned above - it's about consistency. If necessary, ban him for good and be done it. But banning one guy for calling someone "A" while other guys can (repeatedly) call people "B" (and much worse) and not get banned somehow just doesn't seem right to me.

Oh I think that was just the final straw, he had a good 20 posts that day alone that where (bannable)
Don't mind Kilbey. He attacks anybody he can to feel better about his factory job and pathetic life and ugly ****ing demon children
In the lounge not the war/pollitics lounge but in the main lounge which is way beyond acceptable.

Well, I can't really say that I have a habit of looking up Rob's posts and I have no inclination of doing so now or in the future, so I'll take your word for it ...
In my book, that still doesn't justify reporting him for saying something as dumb as "XYZ has demon children". Then again, maybe I'm the only person on this planet who thinks that something as stupid as that doesn't really qualify as an insult - you never know.

If all he said ever to me was "demon children" then that would certainly not be a bannable offense. Insulting, yes, bannable, no. However, he has targeted my children numerous times in the past and been banned for it. He should know better.
And I'm not "going around projecting my indigantion over rob's behavior on you". I am asking you a question and letting you know how I feel. And it's hardly indignation. I think the Lounge severely suffers with Rob's presence.
P.S. the name thing: It's mostly for newbies.

Lounge is much better with out him in there, he made at least 10 threads into pointless flames in one day, I reported him on more then one post btw, 10 that night alone. He got a bunch of decent threads locked. The place is MUCH better with out him. The guy has a major issue with foul language too.

I wouldn't mind Rob being here if he wouldn't do what Athens is talking about above. But the constant flaming, and the constant personal attacking of anyone that doesn't agree with them. And I am beginning to think Warung is Rob's long lost twin.
What is even worse is, the mods ban him, he comes back under a different name, acting the SAME WAY, and the mods do nothing.
What kind of "lesson" is that teaching anyone in the forums?

I don't mind Rob when he is behaving. But he is being considerably annoying the past 3 days.
Doing stuff that would have gotten me IP banned for a month.
