I wasn't asking for pirated software, I was asking for an older version of some software that is SHAREWARE that doesn't have some nag function built into it. That isn't illegal. Please reopen this thread.

If it seems the entire world is against you and that you can do nothing right.. do you stop trying? Do you give up?

BTW since when are we allowed to register new nicks just to troll with so our regular account doesn't get banned?

http://forums.macnn.com/showthread.p...6&posted=1

I know mods know who is doing this. I know said person has been reported.

No account deletion, no ban.

I guess they are giving a "thumbs up" to this kind of action.

So everyone, hurry and register a new fake "troll" account before the admins change their minds.

We all could just ignore the thread. We don't because it's fun. But you are right, too much of this is wasting the lounge…

Yes but he doesn't want that account banned. So he makes a new one to troll.

Little does he know, when they ban accounts, they ban ALL the accounts your IP is tied to.

It's impressive how many of you seem to have static IPs. Seems to be a lot different than in Germany. Is cable always static?

andreas, there is always proxies, and MAC address spoofing. The latter will usually change your IP as well.

Well, Andreas' point is: IP banning doesn't do any good, you'd need to ban a whole IP range. But that might lock out others. This has been discussed many times.

Until the admins come up with a more restricted policy for registering new nicks, nothing will change.

I agree. No gmail, yahoo, msn emails etc.

Most LARGE forums do this.

It would also make people more apt to behave.

I know that little spaz fit I had months ago couldn't have happened if said email restrictions were put into place.

yahoo emails can be registered just as fast as accounts can be banned. (Well close enough anyhow)

Though there at the end, tooki was getting them before I had a chance to even post.

I'd just ban the entire IP range, and add a nice notice on the bottom of the ban page explaining why and who got them banned.

Just one question Rob,

Why do you keep on creating new nicknames after you have been banned. Do you feel that MacNN owes you the privilege of using their services?

Actually, this is the feedback forum. If you want a copy of your kid's game then post it in the games forum.

I have answered this question before. Why do you feel the need to keep on asking the same question again and again? Are you hoping for a different answer?

You have no comeback.

G-Force is a plugin for iTunes.

Quick answer from here in the UK...

Depends on the ISP. Some ADSL is static, some is DHCP. Some dialup is static, some is DHCP.
