No More Banninations?

It just says Banned below newly banned members. And no locks. They keep their stars.
Older banninations still say Banninated and have locks instead of stars.
Any explanation for the change and why it hasn't affected older banninated members?

Could be the ones with locks are banned from the entire forum. The ones without locks are banned from only certain parts?

It just depends on whether the person who did the banning remembered to change the bannee's new usergroup from the default banned group to our custom one.
We now allow moderators to ban under certain circumstances, and they probably haven't done that. :shrug:

turtle777 just got banned and I'm not sure why. He started a silly thread, about another member (more or less), and was banned. I've seen wackier threads with no bans.
Curious.

He's just temporarily banned from the lounge. Feeding trolls -- the ones that keep coming back -- is not welcome. Moreover, it was deliberate, willful and flagrant violation of a rule, not just innocent violation because of ignorance.
