I noticed a new feature of vBulletin - a "Similar Threads" table appended to each thread, containing threads with similar keywords to the one currently viewed. Perhaps it would slow things down given the size of the forums, but if there would not be a performance impact I think it should be considered. It would help cut down on duplicate information requests, for one.

if i remember correctly, i had this feature on when i was setting up this version of the forum software. it was too much of a performance hit to use with our large database, however.

if future hardware/software upgrades make things speedier, i'd be interested in turning this feature back on. it'd be pretty useful.
