Yeah, all those "I'm this/that" threads are silly. But they were all posted on Friday night, and in the Lounge. All those threads would've all, naturally, disappeared in no time at all.
You're too hard on people and it makes the place less fun.

Give Tooki a break. He's doing his job, and very well I might add. I dont always agree with what he does, but It's hard being a admin, esp when people like the OP have to gripe about such a stupid thing.

The latest version of the forum software has some nice batch-editing features that make it a lot less time-consuming to moderate lots of threads. Yay.

the thread was in the lounge and was not about the apple store, it was about a game consol upgrade. people are excited about this, why not allow this thread? true the title was OMGBBQ!! but so what? i say there was no harm in having made it, and tooki, even though i usually agree with your actions, this time around, not really see any reason to lock the thread on your part. any other reasons for this closure? if not, why not reopen up a harmless thread in the lounge?

The level of stupidity in the lounge has got to be reeled in. Threads with patently stupid titles are fair game for closure. If you want to actually discuss something, you should start a sensible thread with a sensible title.
