I'm not sure I understand why certain threads are locked. This thread for example. If posters are offending the rules, then you need to take action against them and not the thread itself. The inappropriate posts could have been deleted and a warning sent to the offender. This was a very sensetive subject and I suspect that others might want to discuss it sometime in the future. Just locking the thread might make the original poster feel as if he has done something wrong.
