I went to enter my password for my Rumor account and was told I entered the wrong password. However, I didn't. The next login attempt, I used the look and peck typing method in case I had fat fingers the first time. Still failed. Third attempt, the same. So I'm told to wait 15 minutes. About 30 mins later, I do the password reset, get a temp pass and am still being told to wait 15 minutes. This all started at about 1:45pm PST. I'm still locked out.

CATS: your Mom has a MacNN account?

All the machines in your house will have the same IP address if you are behind a router.

1. On the IP Address - Yes we have the same IP address but not the one noted. Seems everyone who has this problem was getting the same IP address and I know they aren't on my network.
2. **** - working on that one. When you learn something new you tend to overuse it. So I'm trying but when you swim with the big fish you try to act like one. I have the same issue with WTF but WTH!

Hmm, I dunno. Server administration is not what I do here, so I can't readily access logs, and even if I could, I wouldn't know what to do with them.

Either way, I'd sooner expect it to be a server hiccough than a hacker, unless you all have really weak passwords!

Just to add my name to the list, I had the same problem and was able to log on through the news page as suggested above. The e-mail sent to me had the same IP address listed.
