Hey if we foreigners can be arsed to write your puny language correctly, then I don't feel a ounce of sympathy for you lazy twats doing it too.

Correct spelling and grammar is common courtesy. Intentionally writing bad is bad manners.

Go check out the IRC if you want to share your way of writing things with the world, kid.

My best advice cats is to buy a grammar book and start learning proper sentence construction. If you're unable to form a sentence in your native tongue why go running to 'NN for "protection"

I'm not without fault, my grammar certainly can be improved, but instead of complaining why not work to improve yourself.

I agree completely with your point, but tee hee

You got served by the universal law that states that as soon as you start correcting someone else’s grammar/spelling, or talking about it in general, you’ll commit some sort of grammar or spelling mistake yourself

I understand that people make mistakes, but when people misspell a word and then put (sp?) next to it I get annoyed.

1. There was no need to start this post with ellipsis (even with the title's ellipsis in mind, together they do not form a grammatically coherent unit).
2. With that ellipsis in mind, you didn't need to capitalize "can."
3. You should punctuate the first sentence with a question mark.
4. You should punctuate the second sentence with a question mark.
5. "Ban."
6. Comma netween "bitching" and "please," please.

C.A.T.S. CEO (may I ask why you abbreviate the former with periods but not the latter, by the way? i.e., the reverse would make sense, since the former is an acronym but the latter an initialism, but not the reverse of that, i.e. what you've done), you'd really do well to just learn your language better if you're going to play with the big boys.

So, how do we know that it is not him posting from his second account, USB HUB ?
Often, his mom uses it, but I can see him ban evading the forum, claiming to be his mom

His mother still has this ID and he cannot use it as the password was changed. But please be constructive and not destructive on grammar comments! He knows this is an issue in his life and is actively working on it in school. Thanks and have a nice day. He does get frustrated and will slash back in his own way. It is the hormones kicking in.

Everyone gets the grammar bash. But really, at 14, if his grammar is weak, then he needs to concentrate on it.If he is learning disabled, I'm sorry. Overall, it is not grammar, but destructive comments on his part. We all want people to be part of the Mac world, not offend them. Also, it is not right to try to be a mod when we have mods- especially at his age. I make plenty of dumb posts- angry at times, but I try not to insult people. There are several members under 18, but they do not try to act 20-something or maybe they do and perhaps they try not to act 10-something.

My 2 cents.

Thanks. I agree with you that he has been slightly obnoxious. Okay, totally obnoxious! I had a talk with him last night about knowing when to back off. I've seen alot of bashing going on which is fine ... that is what makes the forum fun. He needs to learn when to ignore and keep to the subject. And you are right that everyone will get angry (what was that BS! comment from you earlier???). The week will give him a good break and maybe he learned something.

i concur big mac....
only a week though?
btw, USB HUB, in a thread your son said his bedtime is 12 pm. at 14 that bed time would have been to late for me or my friends. it might help his temper (i know the hormones arent helping either, trust me on this) that perhaps his time of sleep should be down an hour or 90 mins?? defentally will help in school as well.

I would agree but he doesn't go to school until 10AM (Sessions). Plus he has always been a night owl. When he had heart surgery the nurses couldn't believe he would be awake in the middle of the night.
But next year he has to get on the bus at 7:15AM
Am I waiting on that one!

Ok I have bad grammar. I assume that I got banned for it and the statements in the other threads. I will be back probably when MWSF '07 rolls around (or when new Mac stuff comes out). I will be scanning the forums and this thread for now. But I think one of my points is still valid. Why are threads derailed because some people get in a argument over what is the right way to spell the phrase "couldn't care less!" and "could care less!"? I think that if somebody has spelled something wrong is to tell them that they got it wrong and to change it and if they don't, report them. And to lock threads that get derailed because of people getting into grammar arguments and warn the people that are in the arguments not to derail the threads.

(P.S. If I spelled something wrong [I'm tired] sorry and tell me)

In that case, it's not even a question of spelling.

Still not right.
It's not a question of spelling.

Both "couldn't care less!" and "could care less!" are spelled correctly.
The latter phrase is sort of an oxymoron, because it literally means the opposite of what it is intended to say.

Oisin, help me out, I'm sure there is a technical term for that.

I'm not arguing about the spelling or phrasing. I'm saying that a thread got derailed by it which is against the rules.
