Maybe a few tweaks, but not a makeover. It's readable and getting... well.... better than it used to be. A redesign would only cause more problems and I don't think it'd look much better. It's very easy to read right now... and I like the supernintendo-ish looking stars and graphical buttons. They remind me of old videogames.

I think it needs a facelift. Right now it's stuck in the OS 9 days. Let's bring it up to OS X Tiger at least.

And now is when Lat comes in and tells us that he thinks it's cute that we think we get to vote on such a thing, and locks the thread.

Can't you just skin it, and allow each user to choose how they'd like to view the board? I've seen something like this done at other boards, where you can choose how you'd like to see it, what colors for what parts, etc.

Dammit. You ruined my entrance!

We've spent years pushing along development of the new theme, covering many hurdles to do it. And now that we're within days of finally deploying it, do you honestly think a thread in the feedback forum is going to stop it?

No. Nor would I want it to.

So days until it's on huh? Nice to know.

Wait, is this days as in 24-hr days or days as in biblical days like how many days the world was created? Cause if it's the latter, we'll be waiting for eternity

it's being tested to make sure it doesn't destroy the forums, cause an outbreak of the plague, or take upskirt shots of nuns. it's an extensive process these things have to go through.

Icons? Pshaw. What we really need are avatars the size of an OS X Desktop.

Ticking sound coming from a .pkg package? Don't let the .bom go off! Inspect it first with Pacifist. Macworld - five mice!

I'd like to second the notion of user configurable themes. I think thats the best to way to please the 'yes' AND the 'no' crowds.

I would've voted no until I'd seen the new forum. There have been the odd images floating around which give a good idea of what it'll look like.

Who said I meant less than a week when I said days? Especially when used in conjunction with the word 'years' as I did.

Well when one is speaking in days they usually mean less than a week. If it was going to take a week or more people tend to use weeks as measurements. Or even months.
