all of the complaints against tookie being heavy handed he always made sure that things didn't get out of hand. The current set of mods in the lounge seem to have taken a hands off approach lately.

Other than this and one other little "problem", I think the current mods are doing a much better job than tooki did.

I still don't understand most of these "problems"... most seem like virtual non-issues to me, but whatever...
I like a hands-off approach. I don't like rules governing how I lounge, don't like rules I can't make sense of myself. However, I think I hate bickering over rules and armchair modding more than I do the rules themselves.
Besson3c just can't get no satisfaction, beyond being universally loved and admired.

No besson, that isn't the deal I made you. I told you if you'd stop harassing other people that I would leave you alone. THAT is the deal I made you. Especially people that just want basic forum rules practiced. You seem to have a habit of harassing and even ridiculing those that want simple things like redundancy of irrelevant threads stopped.
It's not like anyone is being hung or being put on the stretcher.
If you want 10 different folders of "Lionel Ritchie" spelled differently in your iTunes folder list, go do it. No one will complain.
Most people get annoyed at such redundancy.

Aren't there too many iMac and iBook...threads as well then?

In light of having all but one iphone threads locked I propose that we move all Mac threads into one monolithic thread that way we'll have order and not chaos
