I don't like it.

The border is too dark, everything else is too light. It's also too big, no longer fits on my screen.

The old design may have looked dated, but it was more user-friendly, in my opinion.

And right-aligning the sigs wasn't a good idea, either. Because there are no avatars on this board, the signatures help in identifying members. Now, there's a vast gulf of separation between the user name and the signature, it's like signatures don't fit in with the new theme, at all.

As a matter of fact, this forum should now ban signatures altogether, and replace them with avatars. Pod knows, the user info area is big enough for it.

Post counts aren't disabled. They just aren't immediately visible, which is nice cause really, does it matter that much?

Niiiiice! but it used to be easier to find my own posts or the ones I posted in as they would be marked with a red spot. I thought that was very useful. Anyway of bringing this back? Other than that veryrhing looks great!

It's pretty easy actually.

Dark Green means there has been a new post after you last post.

Light Green means there hasn't.

Yellow you haven't posted in or there has been more post since the last time you looked.

The envelope without a dot has been read but no new post since.

Great design, great colours and great to look at which means the old peepers are not working overtime!
Congratulations and well done - in fact it's a pleasure to post; welcome to the 21st century!

On the other hand, I too seem to have lost a star ....... boohoo!!
Although, not now being described as a 'Senior Member' does have it's compensations

awesome!!!!

My 2 gripes: I want post counts back and the sigs need to go to the left. Right seems icky.

I'd also want to know the new ranks, please

Otherwise it looks nice. A in my book.

Now you need to update the MacNN homepage to include the nnforums and iPodNN link

The new stars look awesome implemented, though perhaps the blue mod stars should be slightly darker, closer to the colour used for user names? It seems a bit... off, with its current colour.

Other than that, it’s still awesome.

(And it’s nice to finally see that quick-format bar in the quick-reply box!)

For those who’ve requested it, these are the user rankings (unless there’ve been any last-minute changes; only Demonhood and gorgonzola would know about those, I’m guessing):

cool

edit: what happened to 1337 MacNN G33k?

Edit 2: why are the 'Posting Junkie' and 'Addicted to MacNN' stars the same? Wouldn't it be better if they were different? Like the 2nd and 4th star blanked out for 'Posting Junkie'?

I don't like it! All of the sudden I have been demoted from 5 stars to 3 stars

Can we have a setting option to display the numbers of posts each user have within the thread like what we have before?

I wish you hadn't merged Developer with Web Developer. I don't think the two topics are related enough for them to share a forum.

Otherwise, good job guys
Bellringing is like falling in a river. Once you're in it doesn't seem to matter any more how you got there - you just wonder how you're ever going to get out.

I prefer the sigs on the left.
It makes reading short replies
easier since that's where you
start reading from.

On a wide screen
it means
really
tough
reading.

See?

Otherwise, I like it.

The "Political Forum" messes up the user area because of how it was jammed in with the Lounge.

Also the "unsubscribe" text should be gone. This has been requested to be removed since the LAST forum.

To subscribe to a forum you have to go through a few pages of clicking to get it on your user page. To unsubscribe you simply click that link. Which is a GUI nightmare because many times it's clicked on accident and doesn't give you any extra chances to not unsubscribe.
