Hello,

It looks like we need an automotive subsection of this forum where all the car threads can go. I would suggest also creating a spare automotive forum subsection as an emergency backup in case there is a problem with the main section, and a sound of an engine that automatically plays when you enter both forums to assist our visually impaired readers. Perhaps the emergency forum section's sound should be louder so that the distinction is clear.

If every type of gaming is banished to its own forum, then cars should have their own too. As well as current events in the news. And "This is happening in my life" threads. And maybe a subsection for "I need advice on such-and-such." And so on...

I'll go ahead and sum up the problem as I see it;

The Lounge had been getting flooded with gaming threads so at one point we decided that there was justification for creating an all-purpose Gaming forum.

So we did it.

And rather than see thanks from everybody who should appreciate MacNN finding the topic of Gaming important enough to grant a dedicated forum to it, we see that there is more complaining than anything else.

"It's too hard to find the gaming forum."
"I'm too lazy to click into anything other than the Lounge."
"This forum is already dead. You're gonna kill the good gaming threads by keeping them here."
"WHahahaaaaaaaaa"
"Blllaaaahhhhhhhh"

Creating an auto forum would yield the exact same results.

Okay, then can we have a Patrick Swayze forum? With sounds that automatically play when you open the thread? For one, this will help blind people orient themselves.

Really creating a automotive forum would keep all of the fights with rob contained to one area. This would allow the important things to be taken care of in the lounge like who farted just now and I got a gf threads.

I hadn't thought about it this way, but I guess this makes sense too.. yet another reason to do what I'm suggesting.

I think maybe some sounds of old school Super Mario jumping around would provide good feedback to blind people to orient them within the gaming thread, once it has been created.

For maximum usability, these sounds should probably play as you mouseover the links from the main forum page.

I think we need a part of the forum just so people can post insincere/smarmy posts that has no real value other than to amuse the OP and make him or her feel clever for posting such vapid annoying verbal masturbation after another.

I am sure it would boost egos.

Bingo. There's nothing wrong with limiting how many game threads there were. I'm still trying to figure out why someone started a Wii thread when there already was a coverall PS3, 360, Wii thread.
