I have high hopes for this thread. Finally, someone is brave enough to speak the ugly truth. Me.

What .. you think you are the first person to make a post claiming this forum sucks? It happens CONSTANTLY.
In about every forum I've ever been in.
Besides, shouldn't you be reading a book instead of arguing away 11 years of your life on MacNN?

Issue #1: Sanctimonious mods.
Issue #2: Doofy's relentless booby remarks.
Issue #3: The prodigious triviality of most threads in the lounge.
Issue #4: The popularity of the aforementioned threads.
Issue #5: The lounge used to be witty and ballsy. Comedically, it's going through a recession. I blame over-zealous thread-locking.*

Ignore list is your friend try it
Issue #3: The prodigious triviality of most threads in the lounge.
you mean like 11 years of TV thread
I do agree with you but the is the lounge for you. You want a thread for deeper topics like literature you probably will be better served going somewhere else.
Issue #4: The popularity of the aforementioned threads.
Don't like what is being discussed don't come here. Simple as that. Instead of complaining that the threads are not your cup of tea go somewhere else.
Issue #5: The lounge used to be witty and ballsy. Comedically, it's going through a recession. I blame over-zealous thread-locking.*
Humor is in the eye of the beholder.
For me I think the mods are not locking threads as they used too.

Haven't noticed them, but what do you have against boobs?
Issue #3: The prodigious triviality of most threads in the lounge.
It's the lounge. Are you new around here?
Issue #4: The popularity of the aforementioned threads.
See above.
Issue #5: The lounge used to be witty and ballsy. Comedically, it's going through a recession. I blame over-zealous thread-locking*
It has been a little bit slower in the Lounge, that's true, but if you don't like it why not contribute instead of complaining?

I've actually noticed that no matter where I go on the net, it has all these features and more he complained about. One thing it has in common? Humans.
And if boobies upset you.. Freud would have a grand time with ya.

The only people who would notice so few remarks to the point that they stood out enough to mention them in this thread are:
1) The equal rights for ugly fat women crowd.
and
2) Dweebs who aren't getting any.
I suspect that in this instance, it's the former.

Yeah, but generally the only people who have chips on their shoulders about me either belong to group 1 or group 2 anyways.

What about pretty fat women?
If there are ugly and pretty thin women, and ugly fat women, surely there are pretty fat women too?

I assume, then, that he forgot a group 3 as well?

I'm confused. These are reasons why I stick around, they are most definitely not reasons why 'NN sucks....

I think what makes MacNN suck sometimes is members starting puerile threads whining about things that really doesn't matter.

In my household we have a general rule: You can't complain about something unless you can also propose a solution. Otherwise it's just bitching... and bitching is pointless and infantile.

Why would someone spend so much time at a place that sucks is beyond my comprehension. That would be time better spent watching TV I suppose.

Mental or physical?
I think anyone who complains about posting a cat picture should get and auto ban for a week.
BTW: Kevin's pic that he posted was more on topic than your whole post.

Physical age. Anyone who is incapable of behaving anywhere near their Physical age should be banned for life.

right, because someone's maturity is an objective, quantifiable fact. And if I told you I was only twelve, to what extent would you go to verify this?
seriously, the whole cat pic or whatever pic thing is really no big deal. it's not like its a severe personal attack or something. being a wise@ss using pixels is no different than being a wise@ss using words.
and as long as we're on the subject of maturity, I don't think there's a single cat pic less mature than this thread.

Many of us are professionals who need to act their age most of the time. As such, many of us come here specifically because it's a place where we don't have to act our age.

Yeah, exactly. Or people who spend their time picking other people’s grammar apart.
By the way, you need some congruence in that relative clause of yours: “things that really don’t matter”. Sheesh!
Oh, wait...

What if I behave beyond my years? Should I be banned?
What if I have a disorder/condition that affects my behavior and I don't behave in a way that pleases you. Should I be banned?

No, the picture and sentence were independent of each other. I should have made that more clear. I just thought it'd be fun to make an unverifiable statement like that.

Your judgment of character is off.
Doofy is more like the long haired studio guy that twiddles knobs and plays guitar that makes girls panties slip off.
