can't hurt to PM an admin. I expect they'll ask you to re-create your account though

My VERY first nick was simply "Sine" It was when I first came in here. I spent most of my time talking about OS X themes with others. This was around the public beta days or before.

Definitely PM an admin and state your reason for the change.

Who cares, post counts are overrated.

I like how macnn does post count. You don't see them unless you look at the profile.

Alternatively, PayPal me a million bucks and I'll have a word with the mods for you.

Mods don't get payed, while admins don't get payed.

I think admins can ban people have more abilities related to the organization and management of the forum and mods are only able to manage content, i.e., move, lock threads etc.

I could be wrong but that's my guess.

I say we start a new thread in here complaining that the mods and admins should get compensated for their time... maybe say iPhones?

That would be a good token of appreciation for those that have spent almost a decade helping out.

Peter doesn't get one though, he just started.

He will however get his pink unicorn status image.

To my infinite astonishment, I got a Warning™ for this question.

Wow.

Did it really offend you Ricky? I was (but I can't believe I have to explain this) refering to the baseballs, and saw, and left as is, the jocose double entendre for general amusement. Changing one's username seems a simpler matter than getting a customized alternative to the stars, so I thought you'd be the guy to ask.

I sincerely apologize for having hurt your feelings, and promise never to interfere with your balls again.

That was odd.. was it cause it was offensive, or cause it was off topic?

If it weren't for the title, I wouldn't even be sure what this is all about.

@Tiresias
I think we all understood what you wanted to say.
