The Applications forum isn't just for support. If you want to talk about something, go ahead and start a thread.

There are too many sections already. All in all, there are like nineteen or twenty sections, I'm pretty sure that's way more than necessary.

For instance, ‘Hardware’ could just be one section, there's no need for all these sub-forums. The same goes for ‘Software’.

One section for ‘Design’ could cover print, web, as well as GUI customisation.

I can see why ‘Delicious Monster’ should have its own section, it's hosted, after all, but everything else could just go under ‘Other’.

That'll be five forums total, more than enough IMHO.

That works great for smaller forums, but would very easily become very chaotic and hard to get a good overview over on such a big forum as this.

The forum is organized as well as it can be. The staff seems to be constantly looking for ways to conglomerate certain sections while giving other topics the spotlight they need.

seriously though, I think NN is well organized. I've seen forums that had a ton of sub-forums, so much so that there was almost no discussions going on. hardware was broken up by model, so you had a 2008 macpro, there would be a separate forum, so on and so forth. On the flip side, I visted sites that only had a couple of sections, not well organized at all.

I think NN has a nice balance.
