Yeah I know, I thought that was deep sixed long ago.

My opinion is to just move on to the current theme. The content is the same just the look and feel.

The news page was MUCH better in the old layout. Less pretty, for sure, but actually useful. I've pretty much stopped reading the confused mess of ads and paid reviews ever since I've had to start SEARCHING the page for actual news.

The forums, however, are MUCH better in the new layout, and the forum link from the old page leads to the new forums layout.

I get RSS feeds for everything I can, so I almost never visit a news site's main page anymore.

yep, legacy is like the sequential daily diary, where you know what's new just in the first few titles. Very useful if you're keeping up with stuff.

the new look seems to be more for the sesame-street-trained minds, where you're jumping from stuff to stuff, switching between lots of channels.

and since that's what what nowadays, then that's what's what on the new look.

my friend was a fan of nn for much longer than I have been... i typically stick to tuaw and engadget... but he eventually convinced me that there was some stuff worth reading on it... if i really worked hard I could find it... but often it wasn't worth the work...
this gives me the info i want
in the format I find much easier to absorb...

sesame street it may be.... overwhelming tho... just a bunch of headlines that dont say hardly anything so I dont even know if i want to read the story most of the time...

+1 more for legacy. Please keep it around forever. In fact change the confusing main page to legacy. Was it legacy ever before?
