After amputating the hampstor's legs, they are now moving on to his arms...

There will always be images that are bigger than others, and I fail to see why it is a big deal to simply skip over those that are too big.
Fixed.

I just wanted to say something that involved the hampstor, caving in to popular demand for my jokes to involve this subject matter.

Isn't that what got the hampstor into this mess in the first place?

Good point... Here is the sequence of events:

1) besson3c seduces hamsptor like he has seduced so many other living things
2) besson3c and hampstor have wild and crazy sex
3) besson3c gives hampstor so much of a workout that the image resizer breaks
4) users are upset that their images aren't being resized and that the hampstor is failing at its duties
5) This thread is created
6) besson3c makes his appearance and explains everything
7) sexed up hampstor is still unable to resize images, people are upset

People, it's not my fault that I'm seductive, so please, no PMs...

It's not really a server side issue, the resizer is a Javascript function likely triggered via the onload event handler to resize images on-the-fly that are over over a certain dimension (although it's not an actual resize, simply a change in image dimensions).

I obviously don't know what could have happened to it, but if I had to wager a guess I would guess that somebody updated vBulletin or otherwise modified the code base these forums are run off of without accounting for this function call. I've seen Javascript runtime errors come and go from these forums according to my Javascript debugger, and since there is a mix of inline and embedded javascript functions being referenced from the page source, I would imagine that this lack of organization, possible lack of tagging, use of patch files, and revision control makes it difficult to account for all code changes across an upgrade. I sense that there really is no test environment anyway based on my history here, although I could be wrong...

That looks like the default vBulletin favicon which suggests that the board was indeed recently upgraded. Why they don't test these sort of things before making these changes live is beyond me.
