Would it be relatively easy to add a text entry box resizer for quick edits? It would make editing on the iPhone easier. However it's not absolutely necessary because it's available in advanced edit mode.

But what about for editing titles?

For those unaware, as far as I can tell there is no way to scroll around text entry boxes on the iPhone.

EDIT:

This is incorrect. See below.

Are you talking about moving the cursor around within a text box or scrolling the page once the keyboard pops up and it zooms in on the textbox? Both of those are possible.

No. The issue is that if the text is long enough to extend beyond the confines of the text box then you can't access all of it, because you can't move to the text outside the box. One way around this is to increase the text box size so all the text is on screen.

On a Mac you'd simply hit the down arrow key to scroll down (or up) to text that was off screen. This is not available on the iPhone.

you hold down inside the text box until the maginfying glass comes up, then just drag down and the text will scroll.

That would solve the "moving the cursor around within a text box" problem I suggested, but Eug said that wasn't the problem. I still don't understand what he's trying to do.

TWO-finger scroll works in frames on the iPhone - does it work in text entry boxes as well?

I see now. I wasn't aware doing this could get it to scroll inside the text entry box. When I had tried it before (using an advanced mode text entry box), I had waited for the magnifier as adam described, and then to scroll I moved my finger down to over the keyboard... and the text still wouldn't scroll down.

However, I was able to get it to scroll just now, by moving my finger down even further.

I can't seem to get this to work, but I'm not sure exactly what you're referring to.

Ah, never mind.

Using two fingers to scroll (just as on a MacBook) will scroll through scrollable frames within a webpage (such as the thread review in the advanced reply form on this board).

I thought that maybe this would work in text entry fields as well (I don't have an iPhone/touch to test this out at home).
