I often go to the advanced search page on the forum to search before posting, and many times I am not automatically logged in. So, then, I go back to the front page to log in and then go search. If I click on the search button nothing happens and I see that there's a null javascript link. Is anyone else experiencing this?

If you post a comment on the News page, it logs you out of the forums. Caused by some incompatibility with the forum cookie, it appears.
How about using the Log In option in the navigation bar, from on the Search page?

I didn't post a comment on the news page any of those times, I don't believe. I tried the log in option in the navigation bar, which is what I was referring to as not working for me. I don't get the pop-up I do on the front page, just nothing. Firefox 3.

When I log out and check, it doesn't work for me in any tested browser. It affects the other popdowns from the nav bar too. But only on the Search page. It's a safe bet that this is a template bug, unrelated to the browser side.
I'll dig into it as time allows.

Funny, it's working now. Must have been that bug hiding in the page tamplate. It got mushed.

Interesting. It's difficult to tell, but did a template get pushed out, which fixed the problem?

Just yanking your chain.
It was a duplicate include variable left in the Search page template. Works fine after the bug was removed.
