I think it would be neat if we could have something like this. Or even a picnic or some form of get-together would be nice. If having a national one isn't feasible (although it would be really nice), perhaps we can have regional ones instead. What do you think? Nothing better than having a burger from the grill, and meeting new people that like macs too. Time to put alias' to faces. Thanks.

At least at the Asylum, they treat me with respect.

Considering we are scattered throughout the US and foreign nations, I don't think a "whole MacNN" party would be reasonable. I think an "east coast" or "west coast" party would be an easier audience.

MacNNWorld 2001 ... We could schedule Monish to give the keynote, and he would mysteriously cancel at the last minute.

Imagine Ca$h, PBD, Cipher et al. in the same place at one time ... I think my head would explode.

People could throw tantrums, storm off and swear they're not coming back ... and then show up again a half-hour later.

Ooh, we could have a Minnesota/Mid-West one at the Mall of America. Get lunch at the food court, play around at Camp Snoopy, and go to the AppleStore. We could even see a movie or something.

Lets see, we could also have a SF Bay Area one at ...I dunno, the Metreon maybe? Too bad there's no AppleStore there.

Either way, we should have the mid-west one soon (before November and the cold and snow), and the Bay Area one in December. That way I can go to both

We need some sort of regional email list or chatroom or something so we can organize something like this, even when the forums are being unuseably slow. Anyone out there know a good way to set something like this up?
