The thing I don't get is why do you and others still have images in your sig, but I can't?

I'm pissed off.
If you edit your post and resubmit it, the img ubb code in your sig gets processed.

What Cipher said... sigs are supposed to be small, unobtrusive GIFs... since some people don't realize that, I turned them off.
Those people who already had an image in their sig are allowed to keep them (just because that's how UBB works).

What was wrong with my sig Media Man made made? I it looked nice and wasn't that big.
You should be glad this problem isn't as bad as here: http://www.gundamforum.com/cgi-bin/ubbcgi/Ultimate.cgi
Also look at this thread: http://209.25.171.124/ubb/Forum10/HTML/000242.html

Great argument. I'm gonna start a forum with no image tags allowed and come here and say "but look how big our sigs are compared to THAT forum! They're huge!"
Whats done is done.

Not to be an ass (why do i always start posts like that?), but who cares. Really. It doesnt matter. Ohhh you cant have an image in your signature? Great, it reduces load time (even though I'm on cable modem), and I don't have to look at your lame photoshop graphic.
Kosmo *left* the forums because of this. I'm sorry, but whatever. If you are such babies that you cant handle not being able to have images in your signature, than I'd rather not be in your company anyways. Start using other forums. I've already done that anyway because of the sudden dramatic decline in quality of discussion (particularly in OSX general discussion).

Agreed. What has happened? I know this has been discussed many times over of late, but geez... I think the skeptics, cynics, angry people stayed and scared away all of the ideal, creative, thought-provoking users with insightful discourse into various aspects of all-things-Macintosh. No offence to those still here, but where are the qualities I used to see: the MacNN forums have lost balance, tipping in favor of those who would complain/b*tch/moan rather than discuss and seek solutions. Certainly there are still exceptions, but I liked it when I could join just about any thread with input and thoughts. Now I find it more difficult to speak due to arguing (over the dumbest things), rampant complaining (i.e. Kosmo - "I need my image in my sig!"), and other (text abruptly stops here - I've run out of things to say.)
Sorry to offend, but please give the Forums a breath of fresh air to infuse them with new-found life!
Kyle
