Or rather what whats above and below it.

A couple of times when I've not been really paying attention I've managed to click just above or below the add reply button (when replying to a topic obviously) I've ended up with the end list UBB code in my post. Seems as though there are links to the end list javascript just lurking about on the page.

I wouldn't call it a fluke, it happens no matter which forum I'm in, what thread I'm replying to. Mouse over the 'add reply' button, pointer changes to a finger right? Move the mouse vertically in either direction, the pointer changes back to the arrow, then back to the finger again. Click here and you get the end list command.

Anyone else noticed this?

I've been able to confirm it on this iBook running IE5.1, on another iBook running IE5. Will need to remember to try it on a PC at work tomorrow.

as far as i know it's a Mac IE problem. there's nothing we can do about it. something about phantom links.

if i find out differently i'll let ya know.

interesting. i came over here to make the very same complaint about our little friend[/LIST]. little bastard that he is.

could we put the "add reply" button as the next field after this "text entry" field for us laptop users? then we could just hit tab and enter and be done with it.

Nope, I'm on a DP800 with IE5.1, it works fine.
I have quit MacNN effective at 5:00:00 PM, January 25, 2001.
