I suggested this to gzl on IM, and asked if he'd pass it on to parallax, but I figured I'd stick it here to maybe get some user feedback on it... basically, on a UBB6 board I frequent elsewhere, they have a feature that allows you to check if you want an email response to any future posts in a topic you replied to.

This would be incredibly handy for me, so I can see when people reply to my overly sarcastic comments in a topic.

Also, when it emails you, it only does so once and will not email you for any following replies unless you visit the site again, as a precaution against being overrun with posts. And, to top it all off, it gives you the option to have the choice checked or unchecked by default in your user preferences.

I passed it on to parallax, and we're thinking about it. However, we'd like to keep the number of hacks to a minimum, so no guarantees.

understood... thanks for considering it... however, once I reach 5,000 posts (soon enough) I expect all my requests to be granted. Including the one where all must refer to me as "Lord and Master." Keep up the good work...

Good lord...how annoying are all of those flash movies over at were-here.com? Man, I got a headache just trying to read through some of the threads. Also, a lot of the folks over there seem to be the hacker dudes. Can't even read half the stuff they type. Oh well, such is life...
