Hi administrators:

Is there a way to change my username without losing my posts? I want to get rid of the asterisk, as I don't use it in other places and it's getting harder to remember to put it in. I wish I hadn't put it in when I signed up!

I emailed Misha about it a while back, but never heard.

Andi, with Ikonboard, another BBS, you can't edit a username - once its done, its done. I assume UBB is the same.

However, I'm sure one could go into the users db file and edit it by hand - but with such a large user db as MacNN must have, that would be quite risky.

The best thing to do is sign up a new name altogether, and then Misha may up the post count and change the registered date - all of which is very easy to do.

I think thats your best bet - sign up "andi pandi" then ask Misha to change the other stats...
