Well, you learn something everyday.

Has anyone here hit the "H" key on their keyboard while iTunes is in Visualization?

Well, I did, and lo and behold there is a built in help menu that shows key commands that do really cool things.
______________________________________
H - Help
? - More Help

F - Toggle frame rate display
T - Toggle frame rate capping
I - Display track information
D - Reset settings to default
M - Select config mode [Freeze, User, Random]
0-9 - Select user configs (shift to set)
R - New random config
C - display current config
______________________________________

What's more, there are 3 more pairs of keys that allow you to cycle through the 3 'parts' that make up the visualization.
______________________________________
Q / W - Previous / Next Oscillator style
A / S - Previous / Next Graphic pattern
Z / X - Previous / Next Colour scheme
______________________________________

In total, there are:
Oscillator styles: 63
Graphic patterns: 87
Colour schemes: 50

I have them saved in a text file, so if enough people want the file, I'll post it. That'll save the 15 minutes it takes to cycle through them all and type them out.

Whoever said that iTunes isn't customizable, must have missed this.

thanks heaps. i'm starting to like iTunes more and more. one day it may look as good as soundjam did. it's even stable for me.
(if i can run word, dreamweaver, IE5, fireworks, acrobat reader, claris works all while ripping an mp3 and playing moozik from the library, it's stable. slow and occasionally jerky, but stable)
