Two unregistered trolls immediately come to mind...
pcguy and wiggles -
I'd like to see their heads on sticks in the courtyard with flies buzzing 'round.

It has become very annoying and distracting. One or two comments I can deal with, but these people (esp. wiggles) don't know when to stop. I've yet to read anything from wiggles that's substantive/useful.

Mandatory registration might keep such flamers away ... then they can go to Ars Battlefront where they belong.

It was like that a few days ago. Well, not anymore. It is seriously becoming really annoying with personal attacks, amazing displays of ignorance and stupidity as well. It's bad enough that wiggles wasn't contributing anything constructive; now he/she/it/slug is destroying the forum. You can't talk about anything in there anymore, period.

I agree too, except that wiggles has been damaging, spreading blatently false facts, especially with the iPod to people who are there just to get verified information.

Maybe Macnn can make a special forum for "unregistered users" - they and registered users can post to it. (Unregistered users cannot post anywhere else.)

That way, those who don't want to register can still add a post. If the rest of us care to read what they have to say, we can go to to "unregistered users" and read posts/respond.

I've gotta say that whichever regular started the "bogus <wiggles>" posts was a genius.
Seems to be the only thing to actually get under that slug's "skin".
Plus, I got more than a few chuckles from some of them.
