I've noticed recently that there are a lot of theme posts in here. It looks like quite a few topics are about themes. Some people have even objected to the amount of posts in this room. So, I propose maybe a new section for general X customization. MacAddict has a similar forum, called Tricks and Hackery. Why not create such a forum here? It could be used for themes and such, and would at least get as many posts as OS X eveloper most likely.
Thoughts, ideas? Am I just being stupid?

That could be good idea. We got too many whiners around here "There is no high-quality themes" blah blah.
Separating the forum could result in lower visitors and it mean that there will be fewer posts there. But we could experiment on that and see if it is a big success/failure

There is probably an average of one thread a day on themes. That's probably being generous. Most simply live over the course of a few days and so when a new one arrives there happens to be two on the front page.
Basically, I believe a "Theme forum" wouldn't get many posts or replies at all. Remember, we used to have an OS X Support forum. People wanted to post in General because their question would actually get answered. The same would happen for a Theme forum. People wouldn't want to use it because they'd rather have their thread read so it would end up in General.
It may seem like a hot topic, but split it off into it's own category and it wouldn't take off.
Also, there is a forum for things just like this. It's Suggestions/Comments which is where I'm moving this to now.

Heh... sorry, but that's not a valid argument, also other threads live longer than just a few hours, so if you see two active threads of a topic, then there are just two, and when I count just now there are a couple more theme/aquamod topics on the front page.
Well.. and you should add all "how do I make my Dock transparent" and "look at my cool desktop" to them too.

Oh, of course the moderators had to take care that such threads are moved to the right forum and not allowed to grow in OS X General. Am I right there, yes?
